JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Program Implementation Management Pre-Work Card (PMO) closed registration for lot 9 on Monday (9/21/2020).

Even though it was open until the ninth batch, several people still complained about not passing the pre-employment screening even though they had tried many times.

Pre-employment card operations director Hengki Sihombing explained that the lack of selection of applicants could be due to several things.

First, the large number of applicants compared to the participants that each batch received.

“Those that were registered yesterday for lot 9 were around 5.9 million. Meanwhile, what we have to accept is perhaps only around 800,000. The number of registrants and the number we receive is very different,” he said, in a virtual discussion, on Friday (9/25/2020). .

Additionally, through Presidential Regulation Number 76 of 2020, the government has also issued criteria for not being eligible for a Pre-employment Card.

Those who have no rights are state officials, leaders and members of the representative council of the people, state civil apparatus, TNI, police, village chiefs and their apparatus, and directors of the supervisory board of BUMN or BUMD.

“So if the registrant is one of those that I have mentioned based on Presidential Decree Number 76, they will not be able to qualify as recipients,” Hengki said.

Then, registrants will not be able to approve the Pre-Employment Card if they have been registered as beneficiaries of social assistance (Bansos) from the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) and salary assistance from the Ministry of Manpower (Kemenaker).

This is because, since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, the implementation of the Pre-Employment Card, which was originally focused on improving the competence of human resources (HR), has shifted to assistance semi-social.

“Because the Regulation of the Coordinating Minister of Economic Affairs Number 11 has been stipulated, the beneficiaries of Bansos during a pandemic like this will not receive pre-work,” he said.

“We don’t have a lot of money in our country, so we limit the distribution of money first,” Hengki added.

If the registrant still fails, even though it does not meet these criteria, Hengki suggests that the registrant try to register again for the next batch.

“This program can only be done once for one participant, if you get it, next year you won’t have it again. Maybe you can try it again in lot 10,” he said.
