BOLASPORT.COM – Petronas Yamaha SRT rider Franco Morbidelli performed brilliantly in the second free practice session (FP2) of the 2020 MotoGP de Catalunya.

Franco Morbidelli managed to leave as the owner of the fastest lap in the FP2 de Catalunya MotoGP 2020 at the Circuit de Catalunya, on Friday (09/25/2020).

In the 45-minute session, Franco Morbidelli managed to record the fastest lap time of 1 minute 39.789 seconds.

Franco Morbidelli’s record was 0.1 seconds ahead of Avintia Racing rider Johann Zarco in second place.

While the third position is occupied by Brad Binder of Red Bull KTM.

Meanwhile, Franco Morbidelli’s mentor, Valentino Rossi of the Monster Energy Yamaha team, continues to experience ups and downs as he climbs into ninth position.

The course of the FP2 session of Catalunya MotoGP 2020

Valentino Rossi immediately heated up the competition in the FP2 session by taking first place before finally being taken over by Suzuki rider Alex Rins.

Alex Rins, who was driving the GSX-RR, posted the fastest lap time of 1 minute 42.181 seconds or 0.381 seconds ahead of Valentino Rossi until the FP2 session lasted five minutes.

The competition heats up when two Petronas Yamaha SRT riders, Franco Morbidelli and Fabio Quartararo, take turns taking positions as the fastest riders.
