Earlier, the United States representative to the UN, Kelly Craft, criticized China for what he said was a decision to hide the origins of the coronavirus, minimize its dangers and suppress scientific cooperation. Craft claims that Beijing’s actions are turning a local epidemic into a global pandemic.
However, Craft’s statement was quickly denied by Zhang Jun’s Chinese envoy.
“I have to say, enough is enough. They have created enough trouble for the world,” Zhang said.
“Unfortunately, once again we are hearing voices from the United States that are very at odds with the atmosphere of the meeting,” he said. CNN, Friday (9/25/2020).
Zhang added that Beijing rejected the allegations that it called unfounded.
The dispute comes two days after US President Donald Trump used most of his previously recorded video address to the UN General Assembly to blame China for the pandemic. COVID-19 and for withholding information about the deadly virus.
