JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Covid-19 Management Working Group stated that the transmission of the corona virus is still occurring in the community.
As a result, the number of Covid-19 cases continues to grow today, Thursday (9/24/2020).
In fact, the number of new Covid-19 cases remains alarming, increasing by more than 4,000 cases.
According to data from this Thursday at 12.00 WIB, it is known that there have been 4,634 additional new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
This is the highest record regarding the increase in the number of Covid-19 patients in one day.
The addition has brought the number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 262,022 now, as of the announcement of the first case on March 2, 2020.

This information was revealed by the Covid-19 Working Group through data sent to journalists on Thursday afternoon.

The patient recovered and died
The government raises hope by showing data on the growing number of Covid-19 patients.
In one day, there were an additional 3,895 Covid-19 patients who were deemed cured and were no longer infected with the corona virus.
They were declared cured according to the examination method. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) showing negative results for the corona virus.
Therefore, the total number of Covid-19 patients who recovered reached 191,853 people.

However, concerns about the Covid-19 threat are becoming more visible with the rapidly increasing death rate, even now exceeding 10,000 people.
In the period of September 23-24, 2020, an additional 128 Covid-19 patients died.
Hence, the Covid-19 death rate in Indonesia has reached 10,105 people.
In fact, in the past three days, 428 Covid-19 patients died.
Apart from the positive cases, the government also revealed that there are currently 110,910 people with suspected status.
Sample data
A total of 4,634 new Covid-19 cases were obtained after the government examined 42,564 samples per day.
This number exceeded the target of 30,000 specimens on a day announced by President Joko Widodo.
In the same period, 34,786 people are known to have been sampled.
In total, the government has examined 3,074,814 specimens from 1,834,349 people sampled.
With notes, a person can be sampled more than once.

So far, the case of Covid-19 has been registered in all provinces of the country, from Aceh to Papua.
In particular, there are 494 districts / cities in 34 provinces that have been affected by the transmission of the corona virus.
This means that more than 96 percent of Indonesia’s territory has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
