Police: In the case of alleged CCTV harassment in Soekarno-Hatta, the alleged perpetrator and the victim are indeed close

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Police are examining CCTV footage at Soekarno-Hatta airport in an investigation into a case of alleged sexual harassment by a man with the initials EF against a woman with the initials LHI.

Polda Metro Jaya’s head of Public Relations, Kombes Pol Yusri Yunus, said that from the examination results so far, CCTV footage shows that the two are very close together.

“If we look at the CCTV (footage) that was there at the time, it is true that the victim was wearing the same clothing that was broadcast, just up close,” Yusri told reporters on Thursday (9/24/2020).

However, CCTV footage is still being examined to find acts of abuse that were reported on the alleged victim’s social media.

“But it doesn’t look like what it does (the harassment). That’s why we have to check again,” Yusri said.

LHI also reported allegations of fraud committed by EF, officials Quick test of Kimia Farma, along with the alleged sexual harassment. Police have named EF as a suspect in the fraud case.

The police asked EF to go to the Soekarno-Hatta airport police to explain the case involving him. The reason is that EF disappeared at the same time he was declared a suspect.

“We hope that this EF will come to do an exam,” Yusri said.

The alleged case of harassment and fraud was made known to the public after the victim exposed it on social media using a Twitter account. @listongs.

He said the case occurred at Terminal 3 of Soekarno Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, Banten. Initially, the rapid test officer with the initials EF said that the results of the LHI rapid test were reactive.

However, the officer offered to retest and make sure the results were non-reactive so the victim could continue their journey.

The victim felt there was something strange about the offer, but agreed to try it again.

After retesting and getting the results as promised, which is not recactive, the victim leaves the test site. However, EF turned out to be behind him and asked Rs 1.4 million for the results.

The victim said that he was forced to pay by transferring Rs 1.4 million to EF’s personal account.

After that, all of a sudden, EF kissed the victim. The victim admitted that she was in shock and could not help or shout for help.
