JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The government updated information on the development of daily Covid-19 cases on Wednesday (9/23/2020).
According to data shared by the Covid-19 Management Task Force on Wednesday afternoon, there were 4,465 new cases of patients confirmed positive for Covid-19.
This is the highest record for the addition of Covid-19 patients in one day.

Data is calculated from 12.00 WIB on Tuesday (9/22/2020) to 12.00 WIB on Wednesday.
So in total there are 257,388 positive cases of Covid-19 in Indonesia to date.
The number of additions was obtained from the results of examining 38,181 samples in the last 24 hours.
According to these data, the new cases of positive patients for Covid-19 are distributed in 34 provinces.
From these data, there were five provinces with the highest addition of new cases.
The five provinces are DKI Jakarta (1,133 new cases), West Java (516 new cases), East Java (338 new cases), Central Java (257 new cases) and Banten 216 new cases).

Meanwhile, the general transmission of Covid-19 has so far occurred in 494 districts / cities in 34 provinces.
Then the government also pointed out that there were 3,660 additional patients who had been declared cured.
Therefore, the total number of patients recovered from Covid-19 was 187,958.
Additionally, there are 140 additional patients who died after previously testing positive for the corona virus.
So the number of patients who have died due to Covid-19 is currently 9,977 people.
