Central Jakarta abortion clinic drops 32,760 fetuses and generates 10 billion IDR

Police said the abortion clinic in Jalan Percetakan Negara III, Central Jakarta (Jakpus), had aborted more than 32,000 fetuses. Police said the profit made by this abortion clinic reached Rs 10 billion.

“As of 2017, there are more than 32 thousand fetuses, 32,760 fetuses, that have been aborted. This is what we have calculated, we are still exploring it again,” Polda Metro Public Relations Chief Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus said on Wednesday during a press conference at Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta. This clinic serves illegal abortion practices Monday through Saturday. Yusri added that the clinic, which operates from 07.00 WIB to 13.00 WIB, makes a profit of around Rp. 10 million per day.

Yusri said that this clinic charges around 2 million rupees for aborting fetuses less than 5 weeks and 4 million rupees for fetuses over 5 weeks. Yusri explained that this clinic can see 5-6 patients per day.

“In one day, this group can make a profit of 10 million rupees by dividing the doctor to get 40 percent, then there will be the agent himself, then there will also be for employees. Employees are paid 250 thousand rupees per day But Sunday is closed, “he explained.

“If we calculate the total for 2017, we will multiply it if we calculate how many profits we have obtained, there are around Rp. 10 billion more,” he added.

Previously, Polda Metro Jaya secured 10 suspects in this case. Each of the suspects with the initials LA (52), DK (30), NA (30), MM (38), YA (51), RA (52), LL (50), ED (28), SM ( 62), and RS (25). Yusri said the case was revealed after police received information from the public that there was an abortion clinic in central Jakarta.

In this case, the police confiscated a set of tools. revered or vacuum suction for fetus, 1 set of beds, 1 unit of blood pressure device, 1 unit of three-dimensional ultrasound, 1 unit of sterilizer, 1 set of oxygen tubes, 1 tray stainless, 1 griddle tray, 1 blanket, 1 medicine pack, and 2 log books.

For their actions, the perpetrators were charged under article 346 of the Penal Code and / or article 438 subsection 1 of the Penal Code and / or article 194. together with Article 75 RI Law No. 36 of 2009 on Health with the threat of a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a maximum fine of Rs 1,000 million.
