Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Malaysian Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin has officially confirmed that he remains the legal leader of the government. Anwar Ibrahim’s opposition claims, he said, had yet to be proven by the method of the Federal Constitution.
“Without going through the process, Datuk Sri Anwar’s statement (statement) is just an accusation (statement). Until proven otherwise, the National Alliance government is still standing firm and I am the rightful Prime Minister.” said in a written statement, on Wednesday (9/23/2020) as quoted from The Malaysian star.
“I urge the community to calm down. God willing, this issue will be addressed in accordance with the law and the federal board.”

Earlier, Anwar Ibrahim held a press conference on Wednesday afternoon. He admitted that he had received parliamentary support to form a new government and demote the Muhyiddin government.
He did not say the exact number. But when asked if he had nearly two-thirds of the support, the former protégé of Mahathir Mohamad complained.
“In conclusion, we have a strong and tough majority,” he said.
“We are not talking about four or five, but about the majority.”
“The government of (Prime Minister) Muhyiddin Yassin has fallen. I will get more information after facing the King (Raja) in the near future. God willing.”
He also said that he should have met with the King of Malaysia, Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, last Tuesday (9/22/2020). But it was postponed because the King was being treated at the National Heart Institute.
