BOGOR DISTRICT, KOMPAS.com – The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Bogor Regency, West Java, recorded flooding and landslides due to heavy rain on Monday (9/21/2020).
“Pamijahan and the Peak Route (Megamendung) were flooded, while landslides in Caringin and Cijeruk,” Bogor Regency BPBD Secretary Budi Pranowo told Between in Cibinong, Bogor Regency, on Monday.

According to him, quite severe floods occurred in Cibunian Village, Pamijahan district.
The floods were caused by the overflowing of the Cianten River.
The river overflow that occurred from 2.30pm WIB into the evening destroyed a bridge and fish ponds.
“The initial information was that there were no residents and houses, which were destroyed by bridges and fish ponds,” Budi said.

Meanwhile, the worst landslide incident occurred in Pancawati Village, Caringin district.
The landslide material that closed the access road around 5 p.m. WIB had buried several people.
However, now all the victims have been successfully evacuated.
Budi said that, as of Monday night, the Bogor Regency BPBD had not yet finished recapping all the natural disasters that had occurred.
BPBD officers are limited by the size of the Bogor Regency area, which consists of 40 sub-districts.
Extreme rain
As is known, the Agency for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG) through the Citeko Meteorological Station, Cisarua, Bogor Regency, West Java, recorded extreme rains in the Puncak Region, Cisarua.
“Today extreme rains in the Puncak area exceed the category of more than 100mm per day,” Citeko Weather Station Chief Asep Firman Ilahi said on Monday.
According to him, based on BMKG measurements of the heavy rains that occurred from 3.30pm WIB until Monday night, 110mm of rain was recorded from measurements at the Citeko Meteorological Station.
Then, 95 mm from the measure of the Cibeureum Air Pollution Post, Cisarua.
