Especially, according to him, if the Police Criminal Investigation Unit has no evidence.

“If you don’t have evidence, then the investigation should be stopped, unless you have evidence that it should come (trial),” Inspector General Napoleon said after attending the inaugural trial of the pre-trial lawsuit he filed in District Court. from South Jakarta on Monday (9/21).

Inspector General Napoleon attended the inaugural hearing of the pre-trial lawsuit against Bareskrim Polri at the South Jakarta District Court. Napoleon sued Bareskrim Polri for establishing himself as a suspect in the criminal act of issuing a red notice on behalf of Joko Soegiarto Tjandra.

One of the requests in the lawsuit was to ask Bareskrim to drop the suspect’s determination on him. The trial, which was presided over by a single judge, Suharno, started around 09.00 WIB and had to be postponed, because until 11.30 WIB, the defendant, Bareskrim Polri, was not present at the trial.

“I attended, but those who accused me were not there,” Napoleon said.

Due to the absence of the accused, Judge Tungggal Suharno postponed the trial for a week. The trial was scheduled again for Monday (9/28) with the demand reading agenda. After attending the opening hearing which the accused did not attend, Napoleon hoped that in the future the preliminary trial against his own institution could proceed in accordance with the norms of the applicable law.

“Hopefully the trial will proceed in accordance with legal norms,” ​​Napoleon said.
