BOLASPORT.COM – Manchester United legend Gary Neville gave his comments after his former team lost to Crystal Palace.

Manchester United suffered an embarrassing defeat when they hosted Crystal Palace in their opening match in the 2020-2021 Premier League on Saturday (9/19/2020).

Playing at Old Trafford, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s troops lost with a score of 1-3 from the Palace.

If you look at the match stats, Man United actually seemed more dominant with ball possession at 76% versus 24%.

However, Palace played more effectively by taking 5 shots towards goal compared to 4 by Man United.

The loss left Gary Neville disappointed and he blamed Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire for their poor appearances.

Neville, who has won two Champions League titles with Man United, believes that the poor performance of the duo Lindelof and Maguire in the heart of the defense is the main cause of the Red Devils defeat.

The 45-year-old explained that the two players had slow movements in anticipation of the pace of Palace’s attackers.

Therefore, he asked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to fix the problem immediately.
