Kelapa Gading District Head, North Jakarta, M Hermawan died from the Corona virus (COVID-19). Hermawan died while receiving treatment at RSPI Sulianti Saroso.

The head of the DKI Jakarta Health Service, Widyastuti, revealed that before receiving treatment, Hermawan had seen a doctor. Hermawan complained of fever symptoms when coughing.

“Before being treated at the hospital, Hermawan went to a doctor with complaints of symptoms of fever accompanied by a cough,” Widyastuti said in his statement on Saturday (9/19/2020).

Widyastuti said Hermawan died this morning of ARDS and hypercoagulopathy due to a Corona infection. Hermawan was treated for four days.

“Hermawan died at 11.50 WIB at RSPI Sulianti Saroso due to ARDS and hypercoagulopathy due to COVID-19 infection. Hermawan was treated at RSPI Sulianti Saroso for 4 days, starting September 14, 2020,” he said.

Widyastuti explained that ARDS is a disorder of the inhibition of oxygen exchange in respiration. Widyastuti said that this condition occurs due to viral and bacterial infections that damage the respiratory tract.

“ARDS is a sudden respiratory disorder that inhibits the oxygen exchange process. One of them can occur due to a viral or bacterial infection, which damages the airways and impairs lung function,” he explained.

Hermawan’s body was buried this afternoon. The body was interred at TPU Pondok Ranggon in East Jakarta.
