Bambang Trihatmodjo banned abroad for having debts

JAKARTA, KOMPAS TV – President Soeharto’s son, Bambang Trihatmodjo, was unable to travel abroad because of the Ministry of Finance because he had debts with the state.

Yustinus Prastowo, special staff of Finance Minister Sri Mulyani, said the ban will continue until Bambang Trihatmodjo pays his debt to the government.

“Prevention abroad is carried out because Mr. BT (Bambang Trihatmodjo) has a debt with the State. Prevention will be lifted if the interested party pays the debt,” Yustinus Prastowo was quoted as saying. STAY on Thursday (9/17/2020).

Yustinus revealed that Bambang Trihatmodjo’s debt to the state was related to the implementation of the Sea Games in 1997.

It is known that Bambang Trihatmodjo had served as president of the Consortium of Organizing Partners of the XIX Marine Games in 1997.

With this position, Bambang Trihatmodjo is responsible for providing all the facilities for the organization of the SEA Games.
