JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Police arrested the driver of a Mercedes-Benz C43, TC (27) car after running over and running over another driver, Endy, near the Kunciran toll gate, Alam Sutera, Tangerang, on September 5, 2020.

The perpetrator who was the head of the restaurant was arrested in the Tangerang area last Sunday (09/13/2020).

Polda Metro Jaya’s head of Public Relations, Kombes Yusri Yunus, said that prior to the hit-and-run, TC, who was driving police number DK 12 OM, was involved in an accident with Endy’s car.

The touching accident occurred when both vehicles exited the toll booth at the same time.

“The suspect hit and pushed Fortuner. It was not resolved when the victim got out (of the car), the suspect tried to flee by hitting the victim,” Yusri said during the statement that was broadcast online on Wednesday (9/16/2020) .

At that time the victim suffered a broken leg and was taken to hospital.

The victim then reported to Polda Metro Jaya with evidence in the form of the police number of the perpetrator’s vehicle left behind.

“When escaping, the suspect’s license plate was left. This is the identification, ”he said.

The police conducted an investigation based on the police number DK 12 OM in coordination with the Bali Police.

The plate code DK is the number of the region of Bali and its surroundings.

After learning the identity of the perpetrator, the police arrested TC in the Tangerang area.

“We had some difficulties, because (police number) DK 12 OM is the name of the company, but after we investigated the owner, he himself is the manager of a restaurant and he is the owner himself,” Yusri said.

Until now, police are still investigating whether the attacker was under the influence of alcohol while driving to the point of being hit and run.

“Later, we will do a urinalysis, we will also consult with a psychiatrist about mental health problems. So far, he admitted that he was confused (during the accident) when he escaped,” Yusri concluded.
