KOMPAS.com- A member of the policewoman (Polwan) Sat Bid Propam Polda Papua named Bripka Christin Meisye Batfeny (36) was killed by a hit while riding a motorcycle on Wednesday (9/16/2020).
It turned out that the driver of the car that crashed was Deputy Regent Yalimo Erdi Dabi. He was supposedly driving drunk.
In the accident, Bripka Christin died at the scene.
“As a result of the accident, Bripka Christin suffered a severe impact to the back of the neck, her right knee was torn and broken, resulting in the death of the victim,” said Jayapura AKBP Police Chief Gustav Urbinas.

A car that suddenly went off the track
Gustav explained that at that time Bripka Christin was riding his motorcycle in the southern Jayapura district, Jayapura city, Papua.
Meanwhile, at the same time, Deputy Regent Yalimo Erdi Dabi was driving his Toyota Hilux with a colleague with the initials AM.
The car was traveling at high speed from Jayapura towards Entrop.
But suddenly the car lost control and went out of the right lane.
The hard collision was inevitable. The car collided with Bripka Christin’s motorcycle. The victim died instantly.
The incident of the collision was recorded on a closed circuit television camera.
“There is evidence from CCTV footage, in fact the position (of the car) has deviated,” he said.

Suspected of being drunk
Police confirmed that the driver of the car was the deputy regent of Yalimo.
“According to the identity in the KTP (identity card) the labor status is that of the Regent Deputy of Yalimo,” said Gustav.
While driving a car, Erdi, who is running again for the 2020 election, is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol.
“The provisional conclusion is that the Toyota Hilux driver is not careful and drives alcohol or alcohol,” Gustav said.

Do not bring SIM and STNK
The police also discovered that Erdi did not have a driver’s license (SIM) or a vehicle registration certificate (STNK).
“In the meantime, checking SIM and STNK is zero,” Gustav said at Jayapura.
Erdi is currently the deputy regent of Yalimo. He also participated in the Yalimo Pilkada 2020.
Erdi Dabi has registered as a Regent Candidate at KPU Yalimo. He was accompanied by Jhon W Wilil.
Gustav made sure the case was fully handled even though the perpetrator was an official.
“This accident case is in the management of the Jayapura City Police Traffic Unit and the ED perpetrators are in the further investigation stage by the Traffic Unit investigators,” he said.
