Surabaya, CNN Indonesia –
Mayor of Surabaya Tri Rismaharini inaugurated the Surabaya Regional Health Laboratory (Labkesda) at Jalan Gayungsari No. 124, Surabaya. This laboratory provides services test swab Covid-19 free for Surabaya residents.
“This is a free trial for Surabaya residents,” Risma said, on Tuesday (9/15).
Risma hopes that Surabaya residents who frequently visit out of town will be able to take advantage of the laboratory before returning to their homes.
This, he said, was to provide a sense of security to all citizens and to anticipate the broadcast of the broadcast.
“I hope that before entering the test house, we are here first. Because it is open 24 hours non-stop, so if you enter the house it is already in safe conditions, it will be a pity that the family catches it, especially if it’s free, “he said.
Not only for Surabaya city residents, this lab, Risma said, also provides swab testing services for residents with ID cards outside of Surabaya, at a cost that he says is very cheap, that is, Rp120. thousand.
“Although the equipment is given to us by the BNPB and the private sector, in our regional regulation there is a provision for a rate of Rp. 120 thousand. I think it is very cheap,” he added.
The PDI-P politician said that the laboratory can control between 2,000 and 4,000 samples every day. As for the results, you can find out in the next 2-3 days.
However, in the future, especially for Surabaya city residents, such as drivers or businessmen working outside the city, the results can be expected and will only take 1 hour or 1.5 hours.
“Then later we will deliver the results that can be expected. Now, if the results are negative, please return home calmly and safely. But if the results are positive, I directly suggest the Hajj Dormitory Hotel to carry out the isolation, ”he said.
“Also, there are doctors there, and if there are comorbidities, they will immediately take them to the hospital, but if there are no symptoms, they can be in the Hajj dormitory,” he added.
The first mayor of Surabaya also hopes that this laboratory can be useful for everyone, as a preventive measure and to break the chain of transmission of Covid-19.
“Hopefully this can be of use to anyone. With this laboratory it is expected that the disease will not increase, but it is expected that it will decrease even more,” he concluded.
