Handling working group COVID-19 noted the high-risk area (Red zone) reduced this week down. Of the 70 regencies / municipalities that were in the red last week, there are now 41 districts / cities as of September 13.
Some areas of large cities that have turned orange include Central Jakarta and Tangerang Raya.
“Although it is still an orange zone, it must be pushed into a yellow and green zone,” said Wiku Adisasmito, spokesperson for the Covid-19 Working Group at a press conference broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat’s YouTube channel on Tuesday ( 15/9).
Several other areas that have undergone a zone change to orange are Semarang City, Probolinggo, Makassar City, Manado City. Wiku said this was an alarm for the central government and local governments.
“Don’t let this high-risk zone drag on, because it will endanger public safety,” he said.
The following 34 Regencies / Cities have moved to the Orange Zone.
