González insists that there is no place for racism in soccer.
Through social networks, Marseille defender Álvaro González defends himself against Neymar’s racial accusations.
The Brazilian star was one of five players sent off when Marseille clinched a dramatic 1-0 win that sealed two consecutive defeats for PSG in French Ligue 1.
Neymar was sent off for slapping González in injury time and left the field with accusations of racism that he also shared on social media.
“There is no place for racism. A clean race with many teammates and friends in everyday life. Sometimes you have to learn to lose and accept it gracefully. Today three points are very important, Allez I AM thank you family.” González chirped on Twitter.

A night that PSG must forget because for the first time since 1984/85 they have lost two of their first two games.
After the game, Marseille coach Andrés Villas-Boas also defended González and highlighted Ángel Di María’s behavior.
“I don’t know, I hope there is no place for racism in football,” Villas-Boas told Telefoot.
“If it happens, then it’s a big mistake, but I don’t think so. There was a Di Maria scene previously. These things should be avoided. I hope it doesn’t tarnish this historic performance.”
“Great victory. We kept improving until he was more controlling. The team was very disciplined in maintaining the defense. It should have finished 2-0, but I don’t know why the referee didn’t approve the second goal.”
