The DKI Jakarta provincial government finally hit the emergency brake by re-implementing the PSBB. The PSBB this time is different from the PSBB in April 2020, but it will be stricter than the transitional PSBB.
There are also differences in various regulations between the current PSBB and the previous PSBB, including the rules for leaving the house in Jakarta. What are the rules for public transport passengers entering and leaving Jakarta as long as the PSBB is tightened?
The Ministry of Transport (Kemenhub) ensures that the transport controls that apply whenever the PSBB is tightened are maintained in accordance with Permenhub 41 of 2020 and its derived regulations.
“Based on the results of the coordination between the Central Government and the Provincial Government of DKI that has been carried out for several days, the transport control carried out still refers to Permenhub 41 of 2020 and its derived regulations, that is, the Circular from the Minister of Transport that was issued on June 8, 2020, ”he said.
The spokeswoman for the Ministry of Transport, Adita Irawati, in her statement on Sunday (9/13/2020).
The requirements for intercity passengers will continue to refer to the Working Group Circular Letter No. 9 of 2020. One of them is compliance with the mandatory requirements for a rapid test (non-reactive result) or PCR test (negative result).
Adita said her party had coordinated with transport operators to continue implementing health protocols with strict supervision from departure, during the trip, to arrival areas.
Operators are requested to comply with the protocols stipulated in Circular of the Minister of Transportation No. 11 for land transportation, No. 12 for maritime transportation, No. 13 for air transportation and No. 14 for rail transportation, made in accordance with the provisions.
Operators are also required to ensure maximum passenger capacity limitation, provide a place to wash hands or hand sanitizers, and spray sanitizers on transportation facilities and infrastructure on a regular basis.
“According to what was conveyed by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, the limitation of the hours of operation and the limitation of the maximum passenger capacity of up to 50% are still implemented in urban public transport modes such as Trans Jakarta, MRT, LRT, KRL Jabodetabek, including taxis and public transport, “said Adita.
