jpnn.com, BANDUNG – West Java (West Java) Governor Ridwan Kamil assessed that the implementation of Microscale Social Restrictions (PSBM) in West Java was effective in reducing the number of COVID-19 cases. Proof of this is the handling of the Secapa AD cluster in Bandung last July.
The man who goes by the intimate name of Kang Emil said his party plans to recommend a similar management method for areas where there are still active cases of Covid-19 in West Java.
“When there was a case in Secapa, it was not a Bandung city that was closed, but only a sub-district (Hegarmanah, red) where Secapa’s location was, thank God now 100 percent of its officers are cured” Kang Emil said in an official statement received on Monday (9/14).
For now, Kang Emil explained that about 70 percent of West Java’s COVID-19 cases occurred in the Bogor-Depok-Bekasi (Bodebek) area or areas bordering the Jakarta DKI province.
For this reason, regarding the implementation of Jakarta, which again implements Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) to reduce the number of COVID-19 transmission, Kang Emil said that Bodebek will also adhere to the policies of the capital.
“Regardless of what DKI Jakarta decides, West Java in the Bodebek area will adjust,” he added.
Still, Kang Emil emphasized that Bodebek does not mean that he will carry out a strict PSBB. His party will coordinate with regional chiefs in Bodebek before issuing policies.
“But the definition of adjustment does not mean that the answer is also to tighten the PSBB, because in West Java until now, we have implemented what is called Microscale Social Restrictions and it is effective,” he concluded. (mcr2 / jpnn)
