The difficulty of Juventus to find a replacement for Higuaín

Juventus do not have a new striker this summer. There are issues facing the defending champions of the Italian League.

After deciding not to continue using Gonzalo Higuaín’s services, the Bianconeri immediately looked for a replacement. Various names began to enter the radar. Some are limited to hearsay, others have been explored. But so far no one has landed in Turin.

Last August, Raúl Jiménez (Wolverhampton Wanderers) was on the radar. Corriere dello Sport reports that the Bianconeri tried to trade it with Higuain and Aaron Ramsey, but the Lobos demanded £ 90 million in cash. Since then there has been no further news about the hunt for Jiménez.

Then there are Arkadiusz Milik and Edin Dzeko. The transfer potential of the two is intertwined. Milik reportedly wanted to move to Juventus while still being managed by Maurizio Sarri. He also refused to extend his remaining contract with Napoli until 2021.

Napoli tried to sell it, but Sarri was immediately fired. Juventus then switched targets to Dzeko, arguing that Andrea Pirlo prefers the AS Roma forward’s game, as Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio reported.

Dzeko really listened to Juventus’ offer, but did not insist on moving, especially since his wife had just given birth. Rome is also reluctant to sell it if it has not yet received a replacement, namely Milik.

So far, the Roma have reached a personal agreement with Milik. SportItalia reports that the Polish forward is willing to accept a salary of 5 million euros per season plus bonuses, but there is no agreement with Napoli on the price or which player will be part of the deal.

Amid the complexity of Dzeko’s transfer potential, Juventus have not lost their minds. They approached Luis Suárez, who was not part of Ronald Koeman’s plans in Barcelona.

But that effort is not easy. Sky Sport Italia reports that Juventus only want to sign Suárez for free, considering that the player’s salary will be expensive later on. However, Mundo Deportivo reports that Suárez is reluctant to terminate his contract if the compensation money Barcelona gives him is not what Barcelona wants.

Not to mention the passport problem. Juventus wants the player to have an Italian passport, because Suárez cannot register as a player outside the EU. This was possible because Suárez’s wife also had an Italian passport, but Suárez had to take the test first.

Amid the chaos, the name Olivier Giroud suddenly appeared. The Chelsea striker is rumored to be bought by Juventus for five million euros. He is also reportedly ready to move to Turin.

But recently, Giroud denied it. He admitted that he was surprised to be informed about his wish to leave Juventus. Instead, he wanted to stay at Chelsea and compete with new striker Timo Werner.

Of the many strikers who have joined, none have yet joined. In the future, new names could emerge as the new transfer market closes in October. Still, Pirlo has asked management to move quickly.

So who do you want to sign, Juve?
