The Jakarta PSBB is more strict, these are the rules for private drivers of cars and motorcycles

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta will re-enforce large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) for the next two weeks.

One of the important points of the PSBB is the movement of people and goods in the DKI Jakarta area.

Private motorized vehicles can still be used with various provisions during the PSBB period.

The implementation of the hardening of the PSBB refers to the Governor’s Regulation of the Capital of Jakarta Number 88 of 2020 regarding the Amendment to the Governor’s Regulation Number 33 of 2020 on the Implementation of Large-Scale Social Restrictions on Disease Management Corona 2019 (Covid-19) in the Special Capital Region of the Province of Jakarta.

Governor Regulation Number 88 of 2020 issued on September 13, 2020 mentions various obligations for private car and motorcycle users.

Here are the conditions

For users of private cars with passengers, they must follow the following rules:

to. Used only for the fulfillment of basic needs and / or other activities allowed during the PSBB;

yes. Disinfect vehicles after use;

C. Wear masks in the vehicle;

re. Do not drive if you have a higher than normal body temperature or if you are sick.

me. Limit the load capacity of individual passenger cars to a maximum of 2 (two) people per row of seats, except with passengers domiciled in the same direction.

Private motorcycle users must adhere to the following conditions:

For information, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan has previously revealed the reasons for the re-implementation of PSBB. He said this was done due to the increase in positive Covid-19 cases during the first 12 days of September.

“We feel the need to toughen up so that the movement of the increase in cases in Jakarta can be controlled,” Anies said.

Anies hopes that the PSBB can control the addition of Covid-19 cases in the capital.

“If it is not controlled, the economic and sociocultural impact will be very great,” Anies said.
