KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. Tomorrow the certainty on large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) to prevent the transmission of corona virus (Covid-19) in DKI Jakarta will be announced.

Currently, the meeting between the DKI Jakarta government and the central government is still ongoing. Discussions will still be held with a team of experts and competent ministries as representatives of the central government.

“So that the announcement that will be delivered to the public tomorrow is a certainty of harmonization between central and regional interests,” said the Head of the Covid-19 Working Group, Doni Monardo, in a press conference, on Saturday (9/12 ).

Earlier, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan announced that he would apply the emergency brake by re-implementing full PSBB. This step was taken due to the increase in positive cases in Jakarta.

Doni also said that public health would be a priority. This was emphasized by President Joko Widodo in the previous meeting to prioritize health in managing Covid-19.

Doni emphasized that prevention efforts must be prioritized. This is done by implementing health protocols, that is, wearing masks, keeping your distance, and washing your hands with soap.

“We hope that prevention efforts will continue to be our joint efforts,” Doni explained.

For information, according to data from the Covid-19 Management Working Group, on Friday (9/11) there were 214,746 positive cases. Based on that figure, 52,840 positive cases were registered in Jakarta.

Meanwhile, for the daily case addition, there was an aggregate of 3,806 cases across Indonesia. Of this number, 1,205 cases came from Jakarta.
