3,806 new cases of Covid-19 spread in all provinces, more than 1,200 in DKI

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The number of Covid-19 cases continues to grow today, Saturday (12/9/2020).

According to data from the Covid-19 Management Working Group as of Saturday at 12.00 WIB, it is known that there has been an addition of 3,806 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. The additions are distributed in 34 provinces or all provinces of Indonesia.

DKI Jakarta is the province with the highest number of cases, ie 1,205 new cases. Below Jakarta are Central Java (386), East Java (384) and West Java (291).

The addition of 3,806 new cases has caused the number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia to now reach 214,746 people, as of the first case on March 2, 2020.

Meanwhile, this addition is the result of examining 38,571 specimens in one day.

At the same time, 24,922 people were sampled for sample examination.

Therefore, the government in total has examined 2,620,004 specimens from 1,523,214 people sampled. With registration, a person can submit to the examination of the sample more than once.

In the same time period, there were 2,241 additional Covid-19 patients who had recovered and were no longer infected with the corona virus.

They were declared cured after being examined by the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method. Thus, the total number of Covid-19 patients who recovered reached 152,458 people.

However, there is still sad news with the increasing number of Covid-19 patients who have died.

In the period from September 10 to 11, 2020, 106 Covid-19 patients are known to have died.

Therefore, the death rate from Covid-19 in Indonesia reaches 8,650 people.
