Bahrain’s diplomatic maneuvers add to the anger of the Palestinians who feel that their fight against the Israeli occupation regime has been betrayed. The Palestinians have previously been angry at similar moves previously made by the UAE.
The following is a brief description of four Arab countries that have been in Israel’s “arms” after normalizing relations.
1. Bahrain
Bahrain, like most Arab countries, has previously refused to recognize Israel as a state. However, their animosity is now thawing, and the two countries agreed to fully normalize the relationship announced on Saturday (12/09/2020). The general threat from Iran has provided common ground to unfreeze once strained relations. However, Bahrain’s political policies have traditionally supported the creation of an independent Palestinian state.
