TANGERANG SELATAN, KOMPAS.com – Police concluded that Lebak Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) chairman Dindin Nurohmat died in a hotel room in the Serpong area of South Tangerang due to illness.
South Tangerang AKBP Police Chief Iman Setiawan said the conclusion was drawn after examining several witnesses at the scene and also the deceased’s wife.
“We have questioned witnesses. The conclusion of our investigation is that the deceased died of illness. Supported by the statement of the deceased’s wife,” he said when confirmed on Friday (11/9/2020).

However, Iman was reluctant to reveal what illness caused the death of a Gerindra Party cadre.
He only confirmed that there was no evidence of violence experienced by Dindin prior to his death last Sunday (6/9/2020).
“We cannot convey the pain to the public, he died in a natural state. There were no signs of violence,” he said.
Meanwhile, the drug prescription found in the hotel room was a prescription for the redemption of drugs to cure the deceased’s illness.
“It’s a prescription for painkillers,” he said.
Dindin Nurohmat was found dead inside the Marilyn Hotel, Serpong, South Tangerang, last Sunday (6/9/2020).
Dindin came and rented a room at the hotel to stay with one of his companions with the initials L.
“At 10 pm WIB, at 2 am she complained of chest tightness,” Iman said.
Seeing that Dindin was in that condition, L immediately contacted the hotel employee and asked him to bring in a medical officer.
A short time later, doctors came to provide assistance. However, Dindin was pronounced dead.
“Around 0430 WIB was pronounced dead,” he said.
Police conducted an investigation to determine the cause of death of the leader of the parliament in Lebak, Banten.
According to Iman, her group had questioned several witnesses at the scene, including L, who was said to be a colleague of Dindin.
“The woman who was with the deceased were colleagues,” Iman said.
According to Iman, according to the results of the witness questioning, Dindin stayed at the hotel with L because there was a need related to his status as chairman of the Lebak DPRD.
“The testimony of the witness basically had the interest of the deceased as president of the Lebak DPRD,” he said.
Meanwhile, Iman continued, the family refused to perform an autopsy on Dindin’s body, because they did not see any signs of violence.
