Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Covid-19 Management Working Group Spokesperson Wiku Adisasmito commented on the plan to implement a full-scale social restriction (PSBB) in DKI Jakarta starting Monday (9/14/2020). According to Wiku, the implementation of the full PSBB cannot be separated from the increase in positive confirmation cases of Covid-19 during the implementation of the transitional PSBB.
In a press release from the Presidential Office, Jakarta, it revealed, before the PSBB, the cases of positive confirmation of Covid-19 in the capital were relatively low. This can be seen in stages I, II and II of the PSBB.
“However, when (PSBB) does transition, the cases tend to increase from time to time,” Wiku said.
He added that during the past five weeks, five cities in Jakarta remained in the red zone. This shows a condition with a high transmission level so tightening is necessary.

“And if we look at this condition, let’s make this a means of learning together and we should do it together from the beginning so that we can suppress this positive case and death, but it turns out that this condition has not yet been perfect,” said Wiku.
“And we have to accept this fact and we have to step back so that we can better go back to the front in a more normal life. So let’s build discipline together if this condition doesn’t want to happen again.
He revealed that the passage of the PSBB is one of the five main stages in the opening of a sector. This refers to an order from President Joko Widodo.
“To open up economic activity in the form of sectors, the preconditions must be met, then time, then priority, then central regional coordination and monitoring of the evaluation. So what happens in DKI looks at the existing conditions and determines when it will finally open up and gradually prioritize, and coordination will take place. “said Wiku.
And indeed in monitoring and evaluation we need to work better together between the central government and the local governments so that the conditions are really high risk and direct for quite some time. That is an alarm that we must take to carry out further tightening so that conditions are under control. , “he continued.
All of this, according to Wiku, of course requires community involvement.
Regarding the availability of beds for isolation rooms and ICUs, he affirms that they can be adequately controlled. All this with a note that preventive and promotional processes can be carried out properly so that cases are controlled and not many people become victims and sick.
“Such is the management of hospitals or other areas, of course this is an important experience for all regions to monitor the level of use of beds in isolation rooms in each place. If it has increased and transferred to the referral hospital, ”said Wiku.
