JAKARTA – The Indonesian Army Special Forces Command (Kopassus) held a ceremony to hand over the witness of Commander General (Danjen) Kopassus from Major General TNI I Nyoman Cantiasa to Brigadier General Mohammad Hassan. The troop surrender ceremony was held at Kopassus headquarters, Cijantung, East Jakarta.

To all Kopassus members, I warn you that what has been achieved so far is always maintained, nurtured and continually improved. The two-star general continued, the dynamics of the development of the national and world situation advanced rapidly. Therefore, Cantiasa said, the risk of the situation and conditions in international politics fluctuated and Indonesia would suffer their impact.

At the same venue, the new Danjen Kopassus, Brigadier General Mohommad Hassan, said that many ideas had been improved by Nyoman during his 31st term as Kopassus Danjen. In the future, he admitted that he would continue with ideas that were not yet there, with the goal of moving forward in Kopassus.
“We look forward to continuing what Major General I Nyoman Cantiasa aspires to and I am ready to continue all that he has pioneered and improve upon,” he said.
