Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) stated that it is not necessary to give approval to the DKI Jakarta provincial government that wants to implement a full scale social restriction (PSBB) as of Monday (9/14/2020).
This was relayed by the Head of the Office of Communications and Community Services Widyawati when confirmed by CNBC Indonesia in Jakarta on Thursday (10/9/2020).
“There is no approval because DKI has never revoked the PSBB,” Widyawati said by text message.
By way of illustration, the provincial government of DKI Jakarta has started implementing the PSBB from April 10, 2020. The legal basis is PMK number 9 of 2020 and DKI Governor Regulation number 33 of 2020. After that , the PSBB was expanded to Volume III which ended on June 4, 2020.
Starting on June 5, 2020, the provincial government of DKI Jakarta will begin to implement the phase I transition PSBB which was extended five times until September 10, 2020.
However, as there are increasing cases of positive confirmation of Covid-19 that are feared to have an impact on increased hospital capacity, the provincial government of DKI Jakarta will begin to implement the PSBB as it was on September 15, 2020.
The spokesperson for the Covid-19 Working Group, Wiku Adisasmito, assessed that the measures taken by the provincial government of DKI Jakarta to implement the PSBB as of Monday (9/14/2020) were correct. Wiku relayed this in a press release from the Presidential Office, Jakarta, on Thursday (10/9/2020).
According to him, the activities that are limited in the PSBB include social and economic conditions. If the regions carry out the PSBB, the social and economic impacts will be felt by all people.
“We can see in the increase of cases in the last 4 weeks due to the red zone in the city of DKI Jakarta, it is necessary to carry out strict restrictions. Even if it is necessary, there are social restrictions on a microscale so that it can be carried out case management that includes testing, tracking, treatment, “said Wiku.
He revealed that the passage of the PSBB is one of the five main stages in the opening of a sector. This refers to an order from President Joko Widodo.
“To open up economic activity in the form of sectors, the preconditions must be met, then time, then priority, then central regional coordination and monitoring of the evaluation. So what happens in DKI looks at the existing conditions and determines when it will finally open up and gradually prioritize, and coordination will take place. “said Wiku.
And indeed in monitoring and evaluation we need to work better together between the central government and the local governments so that the conditions are really high risk and direct for quite some time. That is an alarm that we must take to carry out further tightening so that conditions are under control. , “he continued.
All of this, according to Wiku, of course requires community involvement.
Regarding the availability of beds for isolation rooms and ICUs, he affirms that they can be adequately controlled. All this with a note that preventive and promotional processes can be carried out properly so that cases are controlled and not many people become victims and sick.
“Such is the management of hospitals or other areas, of course this is an important experience for all regions to be able to monitor the level of use of beds in isolation rooms in each place. If it has increased and is redistributed to the referral hospital, ”said Wiku.
