KOMPAS.com – The government through the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) has recently provided wage subsidy assistance (BSU) to private employees participating in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.
The assistance disbursed in September 2020 will be delivered for an amount of IDR 600,000 per month, where the disbursement will be made every two months.
In this way, in a single payment, workers will receive a subsidy of 1.2 million rupees.

The terms and conditions for BSU recipients of Rs 600,000 are active participants, earning less than Rs 5 million per month, according to salary data reported and recorded in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.
Not just employees, BSU is also awarded to non-workers victims of layoffs (layoffs).
However, not all workers who resign or are affected by layoffs will automatically earn BSU.

So what are the requirements for BSU beneficiaries for non-workers?
The president and director of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, Agus Susanto, expressed that people in a situation of inactivity have the right to receive BSU if they receive an SMS from BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.
The BSU Notification SMS is a notification message in the form of a unique personal link to report data on workers who are eligible as potential BSU recipients.
Then the recipient of the SMS will be instructed to sign up and register a bank account number.

The criteria for beneficiaries are stipulated in the Regulation of the Ministry of Manpower Number 14 of 2020.
“BP Jamsostek will send an SMS. In the SMS there is a link for the access record and the registration of a bank account number,” he said when contacted. Kompas.com, Thursday (10/9/2020).
He explained that the link is personal, each person will get a different link and only SMS recipients who are registered as BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participants will be able to access.

The participants who received the SMS were those who as of June 30, 2020 were still registered as active participants of the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.
“As long as on June 30, 2020 (the participant) is still registered as an active participant of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, he will automatically get BSU,” said Agus.

Agus said that BSU assistance only applies to workers who deactivate their membership between July and August 2020.
Not only for non-workers, BSU notification SMS is also sent to workers with a valid NIK and active cell phone number.
Then, SMS is also sent to workers who do not participate or have not participated in the pre-work program.

- Click on the unique personal link sent by SMS
- Fill in the bank name and account number
- If there is a fill error, a notification will appear.

Meanwhile, participants who do not receive SMS, but meet the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan membership requirements, can visit the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan branch.
The participant is then asked to send the account number to the officer.
“You can go to the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan branch to send (account numbers) to the officers for them to register as potential recipients of wage subsidy assistance,” he said.

It is claimed that the BSU for workers and non-workers is not a big difference.
Both continue to receive assistance worth Rs 600,000 per month with disbursements every two months.
So far, Agus added, his party has sent 398,126 SMS to workers and non-workers who are entitled to NSU.
Of these, 32 percent or 130,956 people were confirmed.
