Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Large Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) will be fully implemented again at DKI Jakarta from Monday September 14, 2020. This policy could also affect transportation restrictions, including flights.

Soekarno-Hatta Airport Branch (Soetta) Senior Manager of Communication and Legal, Febri Toga Simatupang, admitted that since DKI Governor Jakarta Anies Baswedan announced the PSBB Total, so far there have been no changes regarding the operation from Soetta Airport. Also with regard to additional requirements in the form of the Jakarta Entry and Exit Permit (SIKM).

“Until this interview, SIKM has not been implemented at Soetta airport,” Febri Toga Simatupang told CNBC Indonesia, Thursday (9/10/20).

However, he admitted that the Soetta airport operators would continue to comply with the full provisions of the PSBB. Including regulations that apply in the district government and the city of Tangerang, Banten province.

“According to the location of the Soekarno Hatta Airport object, it is included in 2 regional areas, the city and the Tangerang district, which currently still applies the PSBB, so Soekarno Hatta Airport follows the rules of the PSBB,” he explained.

Regarding the requirements for passengers who want to fly from Soetta Airport, he emphasized that they still apply the SOP in accordance with the provisions of the health protocol.

“Including the SE Working Group No. 9/2020, one of which regulates the requirements for passengers in flight, namely eKTP, Covid-Free Letter and tickets,” he explained.

Earlier, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan emphasized that this restriction would also apply to public transport. However, for private transport it does not mean that you can roam freely on the streets.

“Public transport will again be strictly limited in number and hours. Odd pairs will be temporarily eliminated. But that does not mean that we are free to travel in private vehicles,” Anies said on Wednesday (9/9/20).

During the previous PSBB period, movement restrictions were also implemented through the existence of the Jakarta Entry and Exit Permits (SIKM) policy, although it was eventually abolished because DKI had entered the transition period of PSBB. Anies spoke again about the timing of this arrangement.

“Do not leave Jakarta if there is no urgent need. Of course, there may be questions about the movement of people in and out of Jakarta,” he said.

“Ideally, of course, we can limit movements in and out of Jakarta to a minimum. But in reality this is not easy to enforce only by Jakarta. This requires coordination with the central government, especially with the Ministry of Transport. Also with our neighbors in Jabodetabek, “he said.
