KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed down 1.81 percent or 94.69 points at 5,149.37 on Wednesday (9/9). JCI was pressured by the decline of the plantation sector, various industries and basic industries.
Citing RTI data, nine out of 10 sectors have been emptied. Among others, the plantation sector fell 3.57% to 1,172.84, the miscellaneous industry sector fell 3.57% to 882.36 and the basic industrial sector fell 2.57% to 729.07.
Meanwhile, the construction sector was the only green one that rose 1.52% to 305.72.
The total volume of stock transactions on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) reached 11.26 billion, with a transaction value of 7.42 trillion IDR. As many as 377 issuers fell, 83 issuers rose and another 131 issuers were flat. Foreigners posted a net sale of Rs 630.35 billion in all markets.

However, foreigners also booked a net buy or a net buy for several of these stocks amid the JCI crash.
PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR) Rp. 40.5 billion. Despite being bought by foreigners, TOWR’s shares closed down 1.43% to a level of Rs 1,036 per share. The total trading volume of TOWR shares reached 188.05 million with a transaction value of 195.7 billion rupees.
PT Ciputra Development Tbk (CTRA) Rp. 13.3 billion. Shares of CTRA also fell 2.07% to Rs 710 a share in the middle of the action. Net purchase Exterior. The total trading volume of CTRA shares reached 36.5 million with a transaction value of Rs 26.1 billion.

PT HM Sampoerna Tbk (HMSP) Rp. 12.1 billion. HMSP shares also fell 0.31% to a level of Rs 1,625 per share. The total trading volume of HMSP’s shares reached 26.7 million with a transaction value of IDR 43.5 billion.
