KOMPAS.com- Jember Faida’s regent was denied a salary of up to six months’ fees
This was stated in the letter of the Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa number 700/1713/060/2020 regarding the imposition of administrative sanctions on the Regent of Jember.
The letter was signed by Khofifah on September 2 in Surabaya.

Too late for APBD 2020
Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar ParawansaFaida received strict penalties for delaying the processing of the formation of the Jember Regency Raperda in the Jember 2020 Regional Budget.
“The sanction is for regional chiefs who are late in delivering the Temporary Budget Ceiling General Priority Policy (KUA PPAS),” Khofifah said at the Grahadi State Building, Surabaya, on Tuesday (9/8/2020).
The DPRD did not dare to discuss the APBD, because Faida had not implemented the recommendation of the Minister of the Interior.
Interior Minister Tito Karnavian previously made recommendations regarding the organizational structure and working procedure of the Jember Regency government (SOTK).
The East Java Provincial Government team is also trying to solve this problem.
However, discussions with the district government did not produce a solution, so it was left to the Minister of the Interior.

Khofifah emphasized that the sanctions were in accordance with the applicable regulations.
“Because the regulations are like that,” Khofifah said.
He emphasized that these sanctions apply not only to Jember, but also apply to all regional bosses who make the same mistake.
For the next six months, Faida did not obtain economic rights as regent.
These rights are not just basic salaries and departmental benefits.
Other financial rights, such as fees, operational support costs and other financial rights, were also suspended in accordance with legal regulations.

According to him, the public need not be controversial about who is the wrong party in the case.
Itqon said the governor’s sanctions were clear and it was possible to understand who was the most responsible party.
