JEMBER, KOMPAS.com – The Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa, imposed administrative sanctions on the regent of Jember Faida in the form of non-payment of economic rights for six months.

Khofifah’s decision was contained in letter number 700/1713/060/2020 regarding the imposition of administrative sanctions on the regent of Jember.

The decision was signed by Khofifah on September 2, 2020 in Surabaya.

Khofifah argued that the sanctions were imposed because Faida was slow to process the formation of the Jember Regency Raperda in the Jember APBD for the 2020 budget year.

“Economic rights include basic salary, work allowance and other benefits,” Khofifah said in the letter.

Other rights not granted, namely fees, operational support costs and other financial rights in accordance with legal regulations.

The decision on the sanction has been in effect since the stipulation.

“We received the governor’s decree regarding administrative sanctions against Jember’s regent,” Jember DPRD Chairman Itqon Syauqi said during a press conference in Jember DPRD Banmus room on Tuesday (9 / 8/2020).

Itqon said the letter was also sent to the Minister of the Interior, the chairman of Jember DPRD, the head of the East Java BPK representative, the East Java provincial government inspector, the East Java provincial BPKA head and the head of Jember’s BPKAD.

Jember DPRD Vice Chairman Ahmad Halim added that the Jember Regency APBD 2020 issue already has a response with the issuance of sanctions by the governor.

“So that the neighbors do not have controversy about who is wrong and who is right,” he said.

Halim assessed that the community already knows who is most responsible for the 2020 APBD errors.

This is because the governor’s sanction of Jember’s regent has been firm, that is, in the form of delays by the regent and the absence of a joint agreement with Jember’s DPRD.

It was previously reported that the Jember APBD discussion was delayed because the Interior Minister’s recommendation regarding Jember’s organizational structure and working procedures (SOTK) had not been followed by the Regent of Jember Faida.

The Jember DPRD did not dare to discuss it because the Jember Regent had not complied with the order of the Home Secretary.

Furthermore, the rights and roles of the DPRD have yet to be handed over to the Jember APBD discussion.

Like the right to supervise and criticize related to APBD. Because until now it is considered that it does not work correctly.

The East Java Provincial Government team through the inspection also came to Jember to find solutions to Jember APBD issues on June 25, 2020.

However, the meeting did not find a solution either. Ultimately, the inspection left the Jember issue to the Home Office.
