jpnn.com, JAKARTA – The Director of Political Studies and Public Policy (P3S) Jerry Massie assessed that the relationship between Democrats and the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI) heated up after the action to return the recommendation of the candidate for governor and lieutenant governor from West Sumatra (West Sumatra) Mulyadi – Ali Mukhni.

Mulyadi and Ali Mukhni returned the PDIP recommendation to compete in the 2020 West Sumatra Pilkada.

They continue to challenge the recommendations of the Democrats and the National Mandate Party.

“It could be hot in the regions, impacting in the center. In fact, in other areas,” said Jerry, on Monday (9/7).

Due to the possibility of a heated relationship, Jerry asked PDIP officials and Democrats to calm down.

At least to secure the West Sumatra Pilkada problem, so as not to damage the strength of the coalition between the two parties in other areas.

“There should be someone to cool the atmosphere so that there is no commotion. For example, in some regions there is still a coalition. The reason is that most of the political marriages between PDIP and Dermokat are in 45 regions,” Jerry said.

In Jerry’s view, the candidate couple Mulyadi and Mukhni returned the PDIP recommendation due to a Democratic whisper.
