Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) reduce program contribution payments Social Security Workforce managed by Job BPJS also known as BP Jamsostek as of September 1, 2020. This policy was carried out in order to ease the economy amid pressure from the corona virus or covid-19 pandemic.
This provision is contained in Government Regulation (PP) Number 49 of 2020 on the Adjustment of the Contribution of the Social Security Employment Program during the Non-Natural Disaster of the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19). The regulation was signed on August 31 and has been in effect since it was promulgated on September 1, 2020.
In the regulation, Jokowi stated that the government has provided contribution adjustments for employers, participants who receive wages, and participants who do not receive certain wages.
Adjustments of contributions in the form of indulgence in the payment period of contributions to Work Accident Security (JKK), Death Security (JKM), Old-Age Security (JHT) contributions and monthly contributions to the Security of the pension (JP), the relief of the contributions of JKK and JKM and the postponement of the payment of part of the contributions of JP “, explained Jokowi in article 3 paragraph 2 of the PP, quoted on Monday (9/7) .
Work Accident Security (JKK) contribution payment relief is granted at 99 percent, so the JKK contribution becomes only the one percent that is covered. JKK’s contributions to salaried employees are divided into five categories. “
First, the level of risk is very low, which is one percent times 0.24 percent of wages, so it becomes 0.0024 percent of a month’s wages. Second, the low risk level of one percent multiplied by 0.54 percent to 0.0054 percent per month.
Third, the moderate risk level is one percent times 0.89 percent to 0.0089 percent per month. Fourth, the high risk level is one percent times 1.27 percent at 0.0127 percent per month, and fifth, the risk level is very high, which is one percent times 1.74 percent at 0.0174 percent per month.
So the JKK contribution for participants who do not receive salary is one percent of the nominal contributions of participants. This also applies to casual day workers, part-time workers, and a fixed-time employment contract working for an employer in the construction services business that is set at one percent times 1.74 percent. , which is equivalent to 0.0174 percent per month.
Then, for JKK contributions for workers whose wages are not known, the JKK contribution is calculated based on the value of the construction labor contract. Also, the death benefit is awarded up to 99 percent, so the contribution is 1 percent.
The detailed provisions are for participants receiving wages of 1 percent multiplied by 0.3 percent to 0.003 percent per month and for participants not receiving wages of 1 percent multiplied by IDR 6,800 to IDR 68 per month.
This formula also applies to self-employment, piece-rate and fixed-time contracts. However, all of these wages can only be earned if employers, wage earners and participants who do not receive certain wages register before August 2020 and have paid their contributions until July 2020.
