KOMPAS.com – A street vendor (PKL) in Malioboro, Yogyakarta, died of Covid-19. Street vendors typically sell in Malioboro’s zone three.

Yogyakarta Deputy Mayor Heroe Poerwadi said the street vendor complained of fever, weakness and cough on August 27, 2020.

In the afternoon the street vendor passed away. His body was buried in accordance with the Covid-19 protocol in Kulonprogo at night.

The municipal government decided to fire the eight street vendors who were trading in two segments of Malioboro’s zone three.
