JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – Pangdam Jaya, Major General Dudung Abdurachman emphasized that no clashes occurred during the attack on the Ciracas police on Saturday, August 29, 2020.

“Actually, during the riots there were no clashes between TNI and the Police,” Major General Dudung said during a press conference on Thursday, September 3, 2020.

He also said that when the Ciracas Police and the Pasar Rebo Police were attacked by the perpetrators who were TNI personnel, the police guarding the Polsek did not take any resistance.

“At the time of the beating or vandalism at the police station, both in Pasar Rebo and Ciracas Polsek, there was absolutely no resistance from the police. So there were some people on guard at the time and their targets were just glass and parked vehicles. Dudung explained.

The perpetrators did not attack the police personnel of the Ciracas Police Department and damaged the windows and parked vehicles.

Meanwhile, the police officers who were victims of the attack were police officers who had just returned from their service and passed through the Ciracas Police Station.

Pangdam Jaya says the TNI and Polri staff remain strong. He hopes that there will be no more incidents like the Ciracas Police.
