JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The government through the Covid-19 Management Working Group has again provided the latest information on the number of cases and patient data related to the transmission of the corona virus in Indonesia.
The Covid-19 Working Group stated that the transmission of the virus with the scientific name SARS-CoV-2 is still occurring, so the number of Covid-19 cases continues to grow.
Data from Saturday (5/9/2020) until 12.00 WIB showed that there were 3,128 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
The incorporation has caused Covid-19 cases in the country to reach 190,665 people, as of the announcement of the first patient on March 2, 2020.

This information was revealed by the Covid-19 Working Group, through the data presented to journalists this Saturday afternoon.
The public can also access the data through the Covid19.go.id website, which is updated every afternoon.
Sample data
A total of 3,128 new cases of Covid-19 were discovered after the government examined 30,640 samples per day.
At that time, 16,897 individuals were sampled for sample examination.
To date, the government has examined 2,405,773 specimens from 1,388,288 people sampled.
This means that a person can have the sample examined more than once.

The patient recovered and died
Although the number of Covid-19 cases is increasing every day, the government is trying to convey hope by showing that many Covid-19 patients have recovered.
In one day during the same period, it was learned that there were 2,220 additional patients recovered from Covid-19.
They were declared cured after examination with the method Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) shows negative results for the corona virus.
Therefore, the total number of patients who were declared cured and who are no longer infected with the corona virus has reached 136,401 people.

However, government data also shows sad news with the increasing number of Covid-19 patients who have died.
In the period of September 4-5, 2020, an additional 108 patients with Covid-19 are known to have died.
To date, the death toll from Covid-19 has reached 7,940 people.
In addition to data on patients who were confirmed positive, the government also revealed that there are currently 86,778 people with suspected status.
Covid-19 cases have been recorded in all provinces or 34 provinces of Indonesia, from Aceh to Papua.
In particular, there have been 489 districts / cities in 34 provinces that have been affected by the transmission of the corona virus.
