jpnn.com, JAKARTA – Indonesia’s Director of Political Parameters, Adi Prayitno, assessed that West Sumatra’s duo of Governor and Deputy Governor candidates, Mulyadi-Ali Mukhni, had dealt a severe blow to the PDIP, in particular to Puan Maharani.

Mulyadi-Ali Mukhni is known to have returned a letter of recommendation of support from the PDIP.

This is said to have been due to Puan’s statement that, whether intentionally or not, he was deemed to have hurt the people of West Sumatra, Urang Awak.

In giving recommendations, Puan said that “I hope West Sumatra will become a province that supports the state of Pancasila.”

“Politically, this is a big blow for the PDIP, that not everyone makes partisan recommendations all,” Adi said when contacted by the RMOL Political News Agency, on Saturday (5/9).

If examined in the communication, Puan’s statement clearly offends the dignity of the people of West Sumatra, especially the people of Minang.

“If I see it (the return of the recommendation letter) it is a form of protest and also a political offense against Puan’s statement,” Adi said.

“Because as far as I know, the dignity of the people of West Sumatra, the people of Minang, goes beyond anything and even goes beyond political issues,” he explained.
