Jakarta Governor Concerns
After seeing the high rate of increase in Covid-19 transmission, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan also said that the condition of the capital was concerning.
According to Anies, the increase in the number of Covid-19 transmissions is directly proportional to the number tests conducted by the provincial government of DKI Jakarta.
Anies explained, the provincial government of DKI Jakarta has done this tests five times higher than the ideal limit established by the World Health Organization (WHO).
In fact, Anies dared to say that Jakarta was one of the two Indonesian provinces that tests massive.
“In Indonesia there are only two provinces that (total tests) surpassed WHO figures, namely Jakarta and West Sumatra. Jakarta is worrying now. Why? In the last three weeks, the numbers (in addition to the positive daily cases) have increased steadily. What does that mean? We detect a lot, there are also a lot of transmissions, “said Anies, quoted from the video. KompasTV, Thursday.
Therefore, Anies again urged citizens to be disciplined when carrying out the 3M health protocol, that is, wear masks, keep your distance and wash your hands regularly.
Resident discipline will help reduce the spread of Covid-19 as the DKI provincial government takes steps to work in 3Q, namely tests (exam), tracking (Monitoring and treatment (watch out).
“So our task is to promote 3M, because 3Q has been done. Jakarta has done 3Q, now let’s make sure the community is working on 3M,” Anies said.
