JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Foreign Minister (Menlu) Retno Marsudi emphasized that Indonesia will not become a military base for any country, including China.
He said this was related to an annual report from the United States Department of Defense or the Pentagon that said China was considering building a logistics network facility in the Asia-Africa region.
“Indonesian territory cannot and will not be used as a military base or base or installation for any country,” Retno said via teleconference on Friday (4/9/2020).

These countries are Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, Kenya, Syecelles, Tanzania, Angola, and Tajikistan.
The Pentagon reports that the base in Djibouti, East Africa, is of interest to China at the Ream Naval Base in Cambodia.

In addition, it is possible to reach Namibia, Vanuatu and the Solomon Islands.
The Pentagon is considering the plan to disrupt US military operations and potentially launch a Chinese attack on the United States.
