Kim Jong Un claimed to be winking at the former White House press secretary

WASHINGTON DC, KOMPAS.com – Former White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders says North Korean leader Kim Jong Un winked at her while meeting with US President Donald Trump.

The statement was voiced by Sanders in the book he wrote, Speaking for myself, which will be released next week.

In his book, he reveals about two years, the period 2017-2019, working with Trump as the White House press secretary.

In an anecdote, he wrote about the time when he accompanied his boss to meet Kim Jong Un in June 2018 in Singapore.

During the inaugural meeting, Sanders admitted that he was looking at his notes before turning around and realizing that Kim was “looking at” him.

“He made eye contact with me where it seemed, Kim nodded and winked at me,” Sanders said. Daily mirror Thursday (9/3/2020).

The North Korean leader’s “mischievous look” made Sanders lower his head, and for the rest of the meeting he looked at his notebooks.

Once the agenda was completed, the women who were allegedly running in the Arkansas gubernatorial election reported it to Trump.

The 74-year-old president later responded with a joke, in which he asked Sanders to go to North Korea and respond to Kim.

Then as reported The New York TimesSanders revealed another incident when Kim was offered a mint tic tac to Trump.

“Kim was confused, and he was probably concerned if it was an attempt to poison him. Therefore, he did not know how to behave,” he commented in the book.

Seeing Kim like this, Sanders wrote how Trump took a pinch of candy to convince the dictator that it was not poisonous.

On top of that, he also blew air to confirm that it was just a mint-flavored candy. In the end, Kim Jong Un accepted it.

The confession written by the former White House spokesperson came amid news of the disappearance of Kim’s younger brother, Kim Yo Jong.

According to the reports that have developed, it is known that Kim appeared for the last time in front of the ideologue Juche on July 27.

Since then, speculation has grown, where he disappeared because his brother began to perceive him as a threat to his government.
