The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Indonesia (Kejagung) is investigating the case of alleged criminal conspiracy that caught prosecutors Pinangki Sirna Malasari, Djoko Tjandra and Andi Irfan Jaya in connection with the prosecution of fatwas in the Supreme Court (MA). The AGO stated that one of the persons suspected of being the intermediary for Pinangki and Djoko Tjandra had died.
“I just investigated this. Because there are indications that the person in question died,” said Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Ali Mukartono at the Jampidsus Kejagung roundabout building, Jl Sultan Hasanuddin, Jakarta, on Thursday (9 / 3/2020).
However, Ali affirmed that his party continued to ensure the veracity of the news of the death of this intermediary. He said that this broker acted as the team leader.
Ali did not mention the identity of the party called the intermediary. However, he confirmed that the middleman Pinangki and Djoko Tjandra were not from the prosecution.
“Yes, there is a person who died who became this link. No (from the prosecution). He said that the team leader was yes,” he said.
“Only then will I confirm whether it is true or not,” Ali added.
