JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The director of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) and the president of the Covid-19 Management Working Group, Doni Monardo, said that there are still many members of the community who think that it is impossible to get Covid-19.
In fact, do not believe in the existence of the corona virus.
Doni said that from the data he received, people in DKI Jakarta and East Java had the highest perception that they were unlikely to be infected with Covid-19.
“The data we have collected is data from a few months ago in five provinces, there are still people who are considered unlikely to have Covid-19, the highest is in DKI Jakarta, the second is in East Java,” Doni said in a working meeting with Commission VIII at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (3/9/2020).

Based on this data, Doni said, it is natural that the number of Covid-19 cases in DKI Jakarta and East Java remains high, considering that most people in the two provinces take Covid-19 lightly.
“So if we see today that the number of cases in Jakarta and East Java is still high, maybe the data collected is, of course, quite accurate,” he said.
Furthermore, Doni also said that apart from DKI Jakarta and East Java, people in West Java, Central Java and South Kalimantan also thought that it was impossible to be affected by Covid-19.

Dwi explained that 31,741 people were stated to have recovered with a 75 percent cure rate.
Then 1,237 people died with a death rate of 2.9 percent. Meanwhile, there are 9,325 active cases of Covid-19 in the capital, which means they are still in treatment or isolation.
