TASIKMALAYA, KOMPAS.com – The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tasikmalaya Police (Satreskrim) managed to catch the perpetrator of the murder of a young woman whose body was found floating in a fish pond in the Indihiang district, Tasikmalaya city, on Wednesday (2/9 / 2020).
The author with the initials EB (38), a resident of Cilembang, Cihideung District, Tasikmalaya City, works as a hide and seek merchant and kills the victim to recover his belongings.
“The perpetrator initially thought that the victim was carrying a plastic bag that contained valuable goods,” Tasikmalaya Police Chief AKP Yusuf Ruhiman told reporters in his office Wednesday afternoon.
“When they examined him, it turned out that he was only wearing clothes. The perpetrator was disappointed and killed the victim by strangling her and then dumping the body in a fish pond not far from the murder site.”

Chronology of cases in development
Yusuf added that his group managed to uncover this case after obtaining information from a witness who knew that before the victim’s body was found, he was searching for an address in the area of the old Cilembang terminal.
After being tracked down, it turned out to target the perpetrator because previously the victim was taken to a place that claimed to know the address the victim had been looking for.
“The results of the victim’s investigation were previously taken by the perpetrator claiming to know the address the victim was looking for. The victim originally came from Cirebon to the city of Tasikmalaya to go to her adoptive mother’s house. However, she said that he forgot his address and was used by the perpetrator, “Yusuf said.

The author was immediately secured in his home without a fight and confessed to all his actions.
Before killing the victim, the perpetrator took the victim to a quiet place using an angkot on the outskirts of Indihiang Sub-district, Tasikmalaya City.
“The author was charged under article 365 and article 338 with the threat of a 15-year prison term. We have now secured the author and have been detained in the Tasikmalaya police cell,” it added.

The victim went to Tasikmalaya in search of a foster mother.
Previously, the victim had been living in Cirebon and was planning to come to Tasikmalaya to meet her adoptive mother.
However, upon arrival in the city of Tasikmalaya, the victim did not know her brother’s address and was instead abducted by the assailant who intended to carry her luggage.
“The victim is a Cirebon person and has lived in the house of her adoptive parents since she was a child. However, for the last three years she lived with her biological mother in Cirebon. When going to Tasikmalaya, the victim did not know the address from her adoptive parents, “explained Tasikmalaya Police Chief Satreskrim. AKP Yusuf Ruhiman, told Kompas.com, Wednesday (2/9/2020).
Yusuf added that his party had arrested the perpetrator who previously claimed to know the address of the victim’s adoptive mother who lives in Cilembang, Cihideung District, Tasikmalaya City.
The author is still being questioned about the motive and timing of the murder he committed.
“In the near future, we will publish a full disclosure of the case of the discovery of the body of a girl floating in this fish pond,” Yusuf added.
A face full of wounds
Meanwhile, the evidence from the victim’s body as a murder victim agrees with the autopsy results of the West Java Police Forensic Laboratory.
The autopsy revealed that there were signs of violence with bruises on the face, hands and other parts of the body.
“If physical violence is known. As for sexual violence we do not find evidence,” he said.
