SRIPOKU.COM, PALEMBANG – Hundreds of doctors in Indonesia have died due to exposure to Covid-19 or the Corona Virus.
In the Palembang area, there were already two senior doctors who had this fate.
In response to this, the Palembang Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) has adopted a policy to prevent more doctors or medical teams from dying with Covid-19.

IDI Palembang branch president Dr. Dr. Zulkhair Ali, SpPD, KGH, FINASIM said that in Palembang currently two high-level doctors had died due to exposure to the Corona virus.
However, according to IDI data for the Palembang branch, the two doctors were exposed not while on duty, but because they were ill, and were later hospitalized for Covid-19.
“In fact, the top two doctors have been treated, and they were recently exposed to Covid-19,” he said.

Going forward, IDI throughout Indonesia commits to taking action while being maintained while on duty, i.e. wearing standard personal protective equipment (PPE).
While on duty, doctors also maintain stamina, they should not be tired, rest doctors over 60 or suffering from certain diseases.
“For this reason, there are many doctors who do not practice, we ask senior doctors to rest, if in the hospital there are doctors who have more than 60 years still working, we ask them to check their health,” he said.
