KOMPAS.com- Anesthetist specialist at the Zainal Abidin Hospital (RSUZA) Banda Aceh, Imai Indra died of Covid-19.
Before undergoing the treatment, it was known that Dr. Imai Indra had operated on a patient with Covid-19 about three weeks ago.
Dr. Imai later tested positive for Covid-19 through a swab test.
However, his life could not be avoided. Dr. Imai Indra breathed his last on Wednesday (9/2/2020) while in treatment.

The sad news was confirmed by the president of the Indonesian Medical Association (IDI) in the Aceh region, Safrizal Rahman.
Safrizal explained that about three weeks ago, Dr. Imai performed surgery on one of the Covid-19 patients.
It is suspected that the deceased was exposed to Covid-19 at that time.
“He had to operate on a Covid-19 patient, and 3 weeks ago, they performed an operation to expose him,” he said. Serambinews.com.

Diswab, positive results and was in a coma
Safrizal said that after the operation, Dr. Imai underwent a swab test.
As a result, the doctor tested positive for Covid-19.
When she was treated, Dr. Imai Indra’s condition continued to decline.
“The swab was a week ago, I was treated at the UCIR and I was unconscious and immediately fell into a coma,” he said.
Dr. Imai breathed his last on Wednesday (02/09/2020) at 09:40 WIB in the room of the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) of RSUZA Banda Aceh.

Safrizal emphasized that the case of Dr. Imai’s death was the first case of a doctor who died in Aceh due to Covid-19.
IDI Aceh called on the local government to take concrete steps to reduce the number of Covid-19 cases in Aceh.
For example, limiting the movement of citizens and increasing the number of tests to determine the spread of the virus.
“Then multiply the tests and do an active search for cases. Isolate those who test positive under strict medical supervision,” he said.
“If not, Aceh will continue to lose its best son little by little,” Safrizal continued.
