SURABAYA, KOMPAS TV – Surabaya Mayor Tri Rismaharini decided not to extend Large Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) in the city of Surabaya, East Java.
This is a strategy chosen by the woman who is familiarly called Risma so that Surabaya can avoid recession or slowness in trade, industry and other activities amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
“I no longer want an extension of the PSBB (Large Scale Social Restrictions). We will make a new normal or new order,” Risma said in Surabaya, East Java on Tuesday (9/1/2020).

Risma hopes that if the PSBB is not expanded, Surabaya’s commercial players will be able to resume operations. However, she stressed that she still applies strict health protocols.
On the other hand, if the PSBB is expanded, Risma is concerned that it will not be impossible for many business players to go bankrupt or bankrupt.
Furthermore, Risma stated that until the end of 2020 economic development in Surabaya remained positive.
