INDRAMAYU, KOMPAS.com – The case of thousands of Tomcat-like insects attacking the residents of Pabean Udik, Indramayu, West Java, raises a number of questions. The reason is that the animal suddenly attacked the residents.
Rantinih (20), a resident of Pabean Udik, revealed a number of oddities behind the attack by thousands of Tomcats.
For example, Tomcat does not attack adults but children. The children were bitten by Tomcat in the eyes and mouth until they suffered wounds from the bites.
Then thousands of Tomcats attacked the children at night.
Rantinih herself did not know why the Semai ants came in thousands and attacked the children.
“I don’t know the cause. I think there are thousands of them. And when they bite them, they hurt, sting and burn,” Rantinih said on Tuesday (1/9/2020).

He explained that the attack had 10 children in his village as victims. Most of them complain of pain and stinging in the wound due to the bite.
The attack of thousands of Tomcats takes a week, to be more precise as of Thursday (8/27/2020).
“Initially, we wake up early in the morning and just when there are thousands (Tomcats) out there. Then until now, it’s still there, especially when the lights are on, they (Tomcats) are there,” he said.
Residents have taken precautions to spray bug fluid. The local government has also verified and appealed to residents.
“I have. Someone has come from the officials. But they have not done anything, they only offer suggestions,” Rantinih said.

The number of victims was recorded
The head of the Indramayu Health Service, West Java, Deden Bonni Koswara, discovered that residents and dozens of children have been bitten by Tomcats.
His party has verified and is currently collecting data on the victims.
“Yes, many have been affected, and for the moment we are still data,” said Deden, through his brief message while delivering a statement to Kompas.com.
According to Deden, when residents were attacked or bitten by a Tom cat, the first step was to compress the wound. Because according to him, Tomcat’s bite has a pungent and painful taste.
“When bitten by a cat, do not squeeze the animal. Wash it immediately with soap and water and then apply a cold compress to avoid skin burns,” Deden said.
Then, if the bite wound widens and does not improve, immediately consult the nearest health center or hospital.
